168 Morningside Rd, Edinburgh, EH10 4PU

As one of our local pubs we have visited the Merlin on a number of occasions in the weekdays and weekends in the afternoon. We pick it because its a very relaxed atmosphere and there is always plenty space for the buggy beside the table. Im never worried about having a loud baby here and the staff are super friendly. It's a fairly basic pub offering but is ideal if you want to go out with kids and not worry about taking up space or them being loud!

Buggy Space: 5/5

The Merlin is a spacious pub with easy access and lots of space for buggies at most tables. There is a ramp outside and the doors are wide enough to easily get a pram in when you are by yourself.

Children's amenities: 2/5

We only brought our baby with us on this visit and the staff were very friendly and happy to have her there. We saw other parents with babies and children here on our visit but depending on the time of your visit it may be more adult focussed as a pub.

Changing Facilities: 3/5

The changing facilities are in the disabled toilets located right at the front door. Staff need to be contacted to unlock this for you. They were clean and had the basic changing table available on my visit.

Transport Connections: 3/5

There is no parking for the pub but there is pay and display parking available on the surrounding streets outside. It may be hard to get a spot very close by on some days due to how busy Morningside can get.

The bus connections are good in Morningside with the stop closest to the pub serving busses 5, 11, 15, 16, 23 and 36.
