The Pantry recently took over Honeycomb in Morningside and as a fan of the Stockbridge branch I was excited to give their new venue a try! A group of other local Mums and myself decided to meet for brunch on a sunny Wednesday to check it out.
I did phone ahead in the morning as the sun was shining so I was hopeful that we could grab one of the few outside tables. Asking any venue to fit 6 adults, 6 babies and 6 buggies in anywhere is a big ask but the staff were super friendly on the phone and were happy to try and accommodate us.
The food was lovely and we were able to enjoy sun in their outside terrace, i'll definitely be back to try out more on the menu soon.
Buggy Space: 1/5 (a little easier if you're outside!)
The Pantry is pretty tight on space inside so wouldn't recommend trying to fit a buggy inside. We were lucky to have a table on the edge of their outside seating area so we could park our buggies around the outside easily. However, there are really wide pavements on both sides outside as the cafe is on a corner so there is plenty room to park up a buggy outside and carry your little ones inside.

Children's amenities: 3/5
There are plenty of high chairs available and a few kids option on the menu, including beans on toast and waffles. The staff were really friendly and accommodating when I let them know we'd have so many babies with us.
Inside its always very busy so theres not much space for any toddlers looking to run around, probably best suited to those happy to be entertained at the table!
Changing Facilities: 4/5
The changing table is in a sliding door disabled toilet on the main level in the cafe. There's not much space to get a pram through the cafe to the changing but inside there is lots of space and its clean and bright.
Location & Transport Connections: 4/5
The Pantry is in an excellent spot for catching the bus with a lot going past the door between Morningside and Bruntsfield. Numbers 11, 15, 16, 23, 26 and 45 all go right past the door. Parking is a bit trickier with it being a busy spot, but there are pay & display spots in the surrounding streets.
Its a close walk to Bruntsfield Links and we enjoyed a walk round the park after our brunch.
