The Steadings, Bonnington House, Wilkieston, Edinburgh EH27 8BY
I've always wanted to visit Jupiter Artland but I have never actually been before so it was such a nice day out to go here with a group of other mums. We took full advantage of the beautiful spring weather in Edinburgh and went on a super sunny Wednesday morning.
We arrived during the morning swim session - I didn't manage to take any photos as I was driving through - but it was great to see people enjoying the pools. I'd love to come back some day and have a swim!
Buggy Space/Friendliness: 1/5
I've updated this section to my usual title to not just talk about buggy space but generally buggy friendliness. On the drive into the venue there is a sign directing to disabled parking or the main car park. We all arrived to the main car park as the disabled parking is very limited. However, in the main car park there is very chunky thick gravel which was almost impossible to push the buggies on. We had a fairly funny task dragging our buggies out of the car park and onto the path. The rest of the venue you can get your buggy around but it was a little awkward in places and wasn't always clear which paths would end up leading to gates or steps that weren't suitable for a buggy. Overall, you can get around with a buggy if you need one, but next time I'll stick to the carrier to give us more freedom during our visit.
Inside the cafe buggy space it very limited if it's busy. On our visit it was very sunny so most people wanted to sit outside which meant we had more space to park our buggies inside. We managed to fit 3 near our table and parked the 4th buggy outside.
Children's amenities: 4/5
There is so much space here so an amazing place for little ones to run around outside. The cafe also had high chairs available if you need them, although I didn't notice any specific children's menu options. Definitely a place to visit when the weather is nice to make the most of all the outside exhibits and space for children.
Changing Facilities: 2/5
The changing table is in the disabled loo which is outside in the courtyard. On my visit it wasn't super clean and the lighting inside wasn't great, but it did have a changing table and space to change. I'm not sure if there are any other changing facilities on the site available.

Location & Transport Connections: 2/5
Jupiter Artland needs a car to access as it is based outside of the city. There is plenty car parking available but as I mentioned above, it's not very accessible with a buggy.
